We are based in Kyoto, the old capital of Japan, with our office just north of the Imperial Palace, opposite the eastern wall of  a beautiful old zen temple, Shokokuji.

Kyoto is conveniently situated near the centre of the country, and we send phones to our customers  all over Japan.

Rentafone Japan is the only foreign-owned cell phone rental business in Japan.
Justin Giffin set up the business in 2001 after looking unsuccessfully for a cheap rental phone for a friend coming to stay with him from the USA.
Justin, originally from the UK, has been in Japan since 1989.
From the start, our aim has been to provide the cheapest rental service available, whilst giving quality service. We hope that our customers find that we achieve this goal.
